I’ve made the second block of the QAL designed by Yvonne Fuchs aka Quilting Jet Girl. The pattern is very detailed and offers several options both in finished size and setting. I’m making the throw size version to make sure it’s a manageable quilting project.
The unfinished blocks measure 18½” square. I didn’t quite manage to maintain accuracy with this block (I did better with Block #1) but despite a few units missing the exact centre and a couple of points lost in seams I’m happy with how it has turned out. The pace of this QAL with two blocks to make each month makes it a diversion from other projects without interrupting momentum. In fact a gentle MEANDER 🙂

Thanks Danice. I like having a go at unusual blocks when they are fairly large – I don’t like fiddling with little triangles and multiple seams!
