Patchwork and Quilting Courses with Allison Reid, Basingstoke Hampshire.
I have been patchwork quilting for more than ten years. As my knowledge of this craft has grown and my skills have developed it has been my great pleasure to lead classes: passing on what I’ve learned; seeing anxious beginners gaining confidence; and more experienced students successfully tackling fresh techniques and challenges.
Several of the courses and workshops I lead are hosted by Viv Poon of Purple Stitches, Basingstoke. To access course and booking details please use the links provided.
I look forward to meeting you soon 🙂
Feedback from recent courses:
‘Super Workshop. Demonstrations very clear and lots of help if you needed it – but sensitively done. Instructions/pattern very clear and easy to follow.’
‘I achieved everything I hoped to. Allison’s patterns and instructions were excellent and her demonstrations were easy to follow and not rushed at all. Allison has great patience and is very encouraging . Foundations paper piecing has always been a complete mystery to me but I finished 3 tree blocks by lunchtime thanks to Allison’s 1-1 help’.

Purple Stitches Quilt Club with Allison Reid
Each month, we will show you two new 12” blocks that you can use to make an entire quilt or continue with our quilt club series and make a sampler quilt. This is a brilliant opportunity to learn new techniques and make friends. In this quilt club series, we’ll challenge you to work on traditional piecing techniques as well as tackling curves, foundation paper piecing and appliques.
This is an on-going club and you can dip in and out of the club at any point. However, each time you book sessions, you will need to book a minimum of 2 sessions (it can be in any 2 sessions over a 6-month period. Just select the dates in the dropdown menu.) Please refer to the pictures for the blocks you will be working on each session.
The picture in this listing shows the sampler quilt we’ll be working on in the current 6-month cohort. Book at Purple Stitches website.
