Happy New Year! π
I do hope you have been enjoying the company of family and friends along with some time to rest, reflect and recharge.
Between delightful times with family and friends I’ve been able to relax and loose myself in creative projects. And, would you believe it, I actually have two finishes (and a meandering flimsy) to share?

I started knitting this cardigan more than 12 months ago, at last it is ready to wear! I hope you can spy the unwrapped presents under the tree? Yes! I did finish this addition to my Winter wardrobe a few days before 25th December π
Today, 31st December, I completed the Nine Patch quilt. Another project begun more than 12 months ago. I do love the look and feel of these Moda French General fabrics.

Yes! This quilt wears clogs!
Of course there had to be a final meander of 2023… A project inspired by the gorgeous Jungle Luxe panel by Bethan Janine for Dashwood Studio.

I bought these fabrics when I was alone in the shop on a particularly quiet afternoon… After all there are only so many times you can walk around a fabric shop, patting bolts, without caving-in and buying some fabric, right?

The design slowly developed in my mind over Christmas and a couple of days ago I put pencil to paper before putting the fabrics on the cutting mat. The piecing was very quick and straightforward.
And big news… My word for 2024 is SHARE. For me the best thing about patchwork-quilting is sharing skills, techniques, ideas and the finished projects. So I aim to be doing a lot of sharing through 2024; through teaching, learning and gifting. To kick-start the SHARING I’ve produced a pattern for the Jungle Luxe panel quilt. It’s available for FREE to my email newsletter subscribers and to you Dear Reader π Just click on the link to download the four page pattern: Jungle Luxe Panel Pattern
Happy Stitching!

Congrats on the wonderful finishes, Allison! The sweater looks so cozy and it has pockets! Love! A very happy and fulfilling 2024 to you! π
Thank you Laura. The cosy cardigan is about to come into it’s own as we slip into a cold snap of weather (well! ‘cold’ for us is probably laughably mild for you but these things are all relative!).
Happy New Year to you too π Sounds like you are able to look back on 2023 with fondness and gratitude and look forward to 2024 with hope and eyes open for blessings each day.
