Thank you to everyone who added suggestions to the ‘what are quilts for?’ list. I spent a bit of time making a display board using a sheet of foam card, polyester wadding and a couple of fabrics from the ‘accidental additions’ section of my stash!

I hope this selection of ideas will help customers in the craft shop think about quilts as more than just bedcovers.
Here is the board hanging in my re-vamped space in the All Our Own Crafts pop-up shop (the pink chair belongs to my crafty neighbour who up-cycles furniture):

So pleased to now have some hooks to hang my quilts and tablerunners – I had been finding it quite difficult to create a horizontal display for quilts!
The quilt hanging from the new hooks is called ‘Fairy Castles’ and I put the last few stitches in the binding just before catching the bus into town this morning! Before leaving home I just had time to make use of the coat hooks in our newly decorated hall and photograph the quilt!
Happy to report some sales success in the shop: A quilt; two cushions; and two table runners, including the three stars runner I finished last week!
Just a reminder that I’ve started a new board on my Pinterest page called ‘Pins of the week‘. I’ll clear the board and restart it on Monday evenings but don’t despair if you forget to look it up, I’ve added a board called ‘Last weeks Pins of the week‘, which kinda speaks for itself!
Finally, the weather in this part of the UK has been extraordinarily mild but very dull so the sunrise on Monday was a real treat!
