My teacosies for Christmas are coming along! I’ve had fun putting together some panel prints given me by a kind aunt and some charm squares from a fabric sample club.
My WIP – just the binding round the bottom to handstitch now. (Working with the navy blue lining in artificial light was a bit tricky!). I decided to quilt in the ditch rather than stitch over the panel pictures.

With the extras ‘to-do’s’ leading up to Christmas I’m finding having small projects that can be worked on around other activities and finished within a couple of days very satisfying. And I’m creating slightly less of a muddle in the sitting room than I do when a big project is underway!
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve also put the final stitches in some projects mentioned in previous posts. So the cushion cover I was handquilting while sitting behind my stall at craft fairs is complete and in use:
And the hexagon bag is finished and ready for my parents to deliver to my Aunt next time they visit:

If you need a break from the Christmas story try reading the wonderful narrative story of Esther (just before Job and Psalms in the Old Testament). It’s the only book in the Bible that doesn’t mention God but His hand is evident in all that happens to and through Esther. We’ve just concluded a term of studying the book in our fortnightly women’s Bible study group.

That cozy is too cute for words – I love it! My next sewing adventure is totes and bags and duffels – I cannot wait to start! Yours are beautiful – are they difficult to make? How long does one of those take you? I would love to know…
Thank you Andrea. The quilted totes usually take me a couple of days now – a bit longer when I first started! I learned how to make them from an excellent tutorial from the Missouri Star Quilt Company – well worth a look to help you get dimensions and the right sequence to put it all together.
