HAPPY EASTER!
Jesus’ public humiliation as He died an excruciating death on a cross caused darkness to descend in the middle of the day but at the same time, just a short distance away the curtain of the temple was torn in two (read about this in Luke chapter 23 verses 32-49). Jesus’ death followed by His resurrection signalled the complete breakdown of the barrier between us and God. Jesus was the once for all, ultimate sacrifice. When we accept Jesus as Saviour, Redeemer and Lord we can step through the tatters of the curtain into the presence of Our Heavenly Father without fear of condemnation (read what Jesus said about this in John chapter 3 verses 16-21).
Easter holds the key to New Life and the certainty that His light will continue to shine for eternity.
Churches and the people in them are not perfect. Jesus is perfect. We can read eyewitness accounts of His actions and words in the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
