My latest frame bag: Trifecta Zip Bag Small Set Version A

The first of my frame bags: Trifecta Zip Bag Small Set Version B
The Emmaline Bags Trifecta Zip Bag pattern gives directions to make the bag in six sizes. The three smaller ones use the Style ‘D’ Internal Wire Frame sets while the larger three require the Style ‘A’ Frame. The pack of ‘D’ Frames contains two pairs of frames.
Last week I followed the pattern to make the middle sized Zip Bag (Small Set Version B) using one pair of ‘D’ Frames. You can read about that first bag and find useful links to tutorials by clicking back to my post, First Time Making a Bag with Internal Frames.
As the fabrics I’d chosen were non-directional, I had just enough leftover to make a second Trifecta Zip Bag (this time the littlest one, Small Set Version A). There was enough fabric for the outer and lining but only enough to make one internal pocket rather than two.
The only differences between the Version A and B Zip Bags is their height (Version A is ¾” shorter) and the use of an exterior contrast fabric in the Version B pattern.

I’ll be taking the Version A Trifecta Zip Bag to join the display of frame bags at Purple Stitches. The Version B bag is already settled on the shelf 😉

Here in the UK we are coming up to Mothering Sunday and my Dear Mum will be celebrating her 83rd Birthday the day before. With these significant dates in mind I made a trip into town earlier this week to do some gift shopping. As I browsed through Marks & Spencer I spied a make up bag. It’s so similar to the wire frame bags I’ve been making!

Funny how I’m now tuned-in to this style of bag!

I love this bag! I haven’t done one with wire frames, so I bookmarked this for when I do!
Thank you! I’d shied away from using the frames but actually they are quite straightforward. I did find watching the OklaRoots video gave me the confidence to try something new 🙂
