Well! This post started life as a Saturday Quilting Bring & Share but I’ve missed that deadline pretty spectacularly! 😀 Instead I will share some of what I’ve been up to in the past ten days.
First and foremost has been a four day holiday in Heidelberg, Germany. We flew out to visit our youngest son who is a few months into a year of studying at the University of Heidelberg. We chose this rather chilly time of year to visit (the temperature did not rise above freezing during the whole of our stay) to coincide with our ‘Baby’s’ 21st birthday. On his special day he got out of bed a lot earlier than his travel weary parents to witness a lunar eclipse, then joined us at our hotel in time for breakfast followed by the fun of opening cards and gifts.
During the day we walked through the very picturesque streets of the old town of Heidelberg and climbed the steep slope to the Castle.
