I need to eat my words!

Yesterday I waxed lyrical about reproduction Civil War fabrics; how much I love them; how trends in fabric designs have changed in the five years; and how the modern bright geometric fabrics ‘remain for me something to be admired but not used’.  Er! Rewind, ‘admired but not used’?  What was I thinking?  I only had to look at the photo at the top of my Facebook page to realise this last phrase was nonsense! Just this year I’ve completed one quilt and almost finished a second using lovely ‘modern’ prints that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed cutting, piecing and quilting.  Hum!  I apologise for slipping into nonsense and stand corrected!  I’ve just proved to myself that it is perfectly possible to enjoy different styles of fabric prints – a perfect explanation for the habit of stash building!

My quilt and cushion covers made using a disappearing nine-patch block and 'bright modern fabrics'!
