Yes! Autumn Stars is a FINISH!
I really enjoyed the final stage of hand stitching the binding. I found sitting in an armchair manufacturing a finish very restful, in fact it was just what I needed ๐

With reference to my previous post, I am bouncing a little higher with the bumps and obviously it has been beneficial to keep doing stuff even when the little voice in my head is shouting rather loudly, ‘Can’t be bothered’.

I have kept to my principles and made a label – another excuse to go sit in that armchair and do some hand stitching as the label needs to be attached to the back of the quilt. And already there are other projects making their way onto the cutting mat…
Very happy to be able to link with Amanda Jean For Finish It Up Friday and with Myra for Finished Or Not Friday. ย Incidentally, did you see Amanda Jean’s post sharing information about her new book called ‘No Scrap Left Behind’ to be launched in February 2017? If you’d like a round up of news from quilty blogs you are very welcome to check the links on my Pinterest boards, ‘Pins of the Week‘ or ‘Last Week’s Pins of the Week‘ ๐

Lovely! Congrats!
Beautiful job!! Looks fantastic!! ๐
Congratulations on a great finish! I love hand binding as well. Especially when it’s cold and the quilt can keep me warm!
Yes! Quilting lends itself to cooler weather.
your quilt turned out beautifully, Allison ! The colours are gorgeous and well timed ! Kudos to you for doing that quilting !!! I’m glad you are feeling a little better. You have written about all the adjustments you are trying to get used to at this stage in your life and I have to say that a lot of women go through similar feelings. Be gentle with yourself.
Thanks for taking time for another encouraging comment Colleen, much appreciated โบ
I’ve never learnt to quilt, i’m not sure I’d have the patience! Yours look so professional and beautiful ๐
Thank you! It’s good to be able to appreciate and encourage each others creativity โบwhatever form it takes.
I love it! The colors are perfect, especially for this time of the year!
Thank you! I did enjoy working on something that matches the season.
Lovely fall quilt. I like that you kept the quilting simple on this one.
Thank you. Sometimes simple cross hatching is all a quilt needs – especially when there are lots of busy fabrics.
